Squirrel!

You thought Middlebury squirrels were creepy...
These Golden Gate Park dwellers walk straight towards you and stare you down for something to eat.  The botanical garden is a dog-free haven.
Creepy

Obligatory sunset/beach photos

Dreaming of a white Christmas...

Christmas in San Francisco
"Was that a snowflake?!?"
"No."

Beginning to really appreciate the cameras they put in phones.  Not too shabby nowadays...

Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken, NJ.  There's a star on the sidewalk outside of his house. Who wouldn't kiss it? really?

Spiders (2)

Need

"What you need, Denis, is a nice plump young wife, a fixed income, and a little congenial but regular work."
"What I need is you." That was what he ought to have retorted, that was what he wanted passionately to say. He could not say it. His desire fought against his shyness. "What I need is you." Mentally he shouted the words, but not a sound issued from his lips. He looked at her despairingly. Couldn't she see what was going on inside of him? Couldn't she understand? "What I need is you." He would say it, he would - he would.

"I think I shall go and bathe," said Anne, "It's so hot." The opportunity had passed.

A Work In Progress

Halfway done?  What should happen in this scene if the word 'contagious' is the theme?

Water

Babbling

Moo3

Why all the cows? I went to a dairy farm (Monument Farms) to help document the origins of our dairy products.  Of course, there are a lot of cows, and plenty of photographs to take.  As always, I'll post photos as they catch my eye.

P.S.  Remember Hershey's Chocolate World? Hershey's Chocolate is located where it is (Hershey, PA) for its proximity to Pennsylvania's dairy farms!  Got Milk?

Knee Bending

Correction:

It seems that giraffes are in fact capable knee benders, but sometimes they'll stretch out to drink so they don't have to sit and be vulnerable.

So you're all right.  The real question? What posture does a giraffe use when greeting a fish?

... but that's just plain silly.

Giraffe Fish Jack-O-Lantern

A giraffe kissing (or just making friends with) a fish by moonlight.
Giraffes can't bend their legs properly, so they have to stretch out to get closer to the ground.

Happy Halloween!

Mobile Exploits (take 1)

How does someone with a big camera take pictures with a camera phone?
Pretty darn haphazardly, that's how

My Current Charge as a CS101 Tutor: A room full of empty computer terminals
I'd love to help! really!

Silkscreen Printmaking: see the smudges? it's a work in progress...

Let's let nature do out landscaping. I'm partial to the wildflowers, if anything

Get it right

Kicker

I guess I've been out of the sports photography world for a while. It seems this gig still has me doing things I wouldn't do on my own. That's a plus (if mandatory...)

Aiming for higher frequency, hopefully quality will remain consistent.
