Hotels
Our view doesn't quite face the pacific ocean, but a few rays from the sun can work wonders

Hopefully we'll have some photos from the real camera soon, but hey... I'm on vacation, right?
Here's me enjoying the weather (100 degrees warmer than vermont!) and sending warm thoughts your way!

Legos for Tots
The Lego Robotics class I'm helping teach this winter took a trip to the Bridge School last Friday (01-22-2010).
We showed our robots to the K-6th graders and had them interact with them.

Moo4
Ok, so not really...

Oliver lives on Route 7 (North of Middlebury) with a herd of sheep. He's big enough to scare off coyotes, hopefully.
Look for him in the 'Local News' sections of this week's The Middlebury Campus (newspaper publication)

Lego Grand Prix
Middlebury College students return to campus in January for a month-long, specialized class; we call this J-Term.
This J-Term, I am TAing a class on Lego Robotics. Students design robots out of Legos and proceed to program them to complete tasks. The first contest necessitates a robot follows a black line to a box, hits the box, and turns around. Check out this coverage of the event.

Squirrel!
You thought Middlebury squirrels were creepy...
These Golden Gate Park dwellers walk straight towards you and stare you down for something to eat. The botanical garden is a dog-free haven.

Dreaming of a white Christmas...
Christmas in San Francisco

Beginning to really appreciate the cameras they put in phones. Not too shabby nowadays...
"Was that a snowflake?!?"
"No."

Frank Sinatra
Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken, NJ. There's a star on the sidewalk outside of his house. Who wouldn't kiss it? really?
